Agentic AI Takes Centre Stage at Microsoft’s IDC Pinnacle Summit 2025
The IDC Pinnacle Summit 2025, hosted by Microsoft, placed Agentic AI in the spotlight with the theme: “Unlock the Agentic Future – Where AI Agents Meet Human Ingenuity.” The event convened senior Microsoft executives, IDC leaders, partners, and customers to explore the future of AI and how intelligent agents are transforming industries.
Empowering the Future with AI
Jay Parikh, Executive Vice-President for Core AI at Microsoft, joined Puneet Kumar to discuss Microsoft’s comprehensive AI stack, its platform strategy, and India’s growing role in shaping the global AI landscape. “Our mission is ambitious yet clear—to empower every developer, and eventually every individual, to co-create the future with AI,” said Parikh. “AI is changing how businesses function, how we work, and how data is handled. This global transformation is accelerating faster than many can fully grasp.”
India's Role in the Agentic AI Ecosystem
Several leading Indian companies demonstrated how they are leveraging Microsoft’s AI tools to create scalable solutions. Edtech platform PhysicsWallah introduced Alakh AI, a generative AI-powered learning suite built using OpenAI’s GPT-4o on Microsoft Azure. Wipro detailed its transformation into an “AI-first” organization by embedding Microsoft AI tools across its operations, while Fractal and Infosys shared insights into how agentic platforms are enhancing decision-making and improving operational efficiency.
Human-Centered AI Agents: The New User Interface
Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, emphasized the convergence of intelligent agents with human creativity. “India is emerging as a central hub for AI innovation at Microsoft,” he noted. “AI is reshaping technology—from interfaces to infrastructure. Our Copilots now integrate IQ (intelligence), EQ (emotional intelligence), AQ (agency), and memory. That’s when AI truly becomes transformative.”
Innovation at Scale: IDC Tech Fair and Showcase
One of the highlights of the summit was the IDC Tech Fair and Innovation Showcase, featuring over 200 booths spread across Microsoft’s four campuses. Internal teams showcased innovations in Copilot tools, developer experiences, secure data platforms, applied research, and responsible AI practices—reflecting Microsoft’s deep investment in scalable and trustworthy AI.
As AI agents evolve from tools into collaborators, events like the IDC Pinnacle Summit 2025 reveal how industry leaders are positioning themselves for the agentic era—where AI enhances not only productivity but also human potential.
