Bhawna Agarwal Named Senior Vice President and Managing Director of HPE India

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the appointment of Bhawna Agarwal as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for its India operations. Effective immediately, Agarwal will report directly to Heiko Meyer, Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer at HPE.

She succeeds Som Satsangi, a veteran leader who will retire after an illustrious career spanning over 27 years. To ensure a seamless transition, Satsangi will continue with the company until the end of July 2025. His journey with the organization began in 1997 at Compaq, which later merged with HP in 2002. Rising through the ranks, Satsangi took on progressively senior sales roles before being appointed MD of HPE India in 2016. Under his leadership, the India business—home to HPE’s second-largest employee base globally—achieved several significant milestones.

A Proven Leader with a Track Record of Growth

Bhawna Agarwal joined HPE in 2019, initially leading the Compute Business Unit and the Growth team. Over the past year, she has headed the Account Management and Industry Verticals segment for HPE India. Agarwal brings with her more than 25 years of leadership experience across digital startups, media houses, and large consumer tech firms, making her well-equipped to drive the next phase of HPE’s growth in the region.

She recently played a key role alongside Satsangi and Indian IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in celebrating the rollout of HPE’s 6001st ‘Made in India’ server—an important milestone in the company’s ongoing “Make in India” initiative.
